Wow I've been here since June and have logged over ten thousand miles driving around Iraq on these convoy missions. Headed to Camp Adder, Iraq. Not my favorite place. Continue
It's been said that worry is like a rocking chair. It gives us something to do, but it doesn't get us anywhere.
In fact, according to one statistic, we can't do anything about 70 percent of our worries.40% are things that will never happen
30% are about the past—which can't be changed
12% are about criticism by others, mostly untrue
10% are about health, which gets worse with stress
8% are about real problems that can be solvedJust something to think about! :-)Continue

Bury all your secrets in my skin
Come away with innocence, and leave me with my sins
The air around me still feels like a cage
And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage…
So if you love me, let me go. And run away before I know.
My heart is just too dark to care. I can't destroy what isn't there.
Deliver me into my Fate - If I'm alone I cannot hate
I don't deserve to have you…
My smile was taken long ago
If I can change I hope I never know
I still press your letters to my lips
And c… Continue

Hi there…just a reminder…there’s only a few days left to get a great book and donate money to help wounded soldiers at the same time! “Reporting for Doodie: One Grandmother's Story of Commitment, Frustration and Unwavering Love.” It's the account of how deployment - in my case dual deployment - affects the caregivers at home. It's a funny (sometimes very funny), sad and heartwarming account of how my life changed when asked to care for my 2-year old grandson when I was going through an unexpecte… Continue

Compare the summer, the autumn is always short. a week ago the leaves were still golden and bright, now they have fallen off. most of trees are bald, only the pine and cedars are still green. all the summer we didn't pay much attention to the green pines or cedars, just because our eyes were full of colorful plants. when everything was gone and fade away, we finally found those which were quiet and ignored are really some beauitful things. Beauty does not need to be told by calling, the time wou… Continue

Hi all,
Hope someone can help, im building a doll house for Elise (7yr daughter) and i have two concepts for colours.
I was intending to have it like a "disney princess" house as the two pics attached.
Kelly told me today that she is "not a pink girl now but a blue girl"
so now, im trying to work out what colours to do her doll house without it being to boyish but still girlish (if that makes sense).
If anyone has ideas ... I WOULD BE SOOO SOO GREATFUL ...
Im trying to get this done for Elise fo… Continue

Hi all,
Just wanted to say hello.
I apologise for the time i've been away. I have been loving my life as Kelly's husband for the last week and a half.
Sometimes its seems too good to be true and I have to make sure I do everything she deserves.
Im am so lucky and I love her so much. To this end I have been neglecting the Milclub family here.
I have put up some photos of the wedding. They were from my Dad (whom is in in either DC or NYC before going back to australia on verterans day).
Now I have… Continue

They're a great group, TAPS.
Here it is, coming up on four years since Brian died. I have not spoken to any of the Soldiers that fought with him, save one, I have not been contacted by any support group (Like, say, Gold Star Mom's)...I just found out that there is a bereavement center here in Birmingham that has resources and will actually come to my home and let me cry. I just found out I can get copies of his awards and stuff...if I wanted them, which, I'd like to see the paperwork but I dont… Continue
Hello everybody I'm heading back to Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. This mission into Iraq has been a challenge. Its not easy keeping these vehicles running. HET's require alot of care but they are doing a wonderful job getting our equipment back into Kuwait and out of Iraq. This mission had me going to a newe location in Iraq. Scary I must say. Killing Americans is still a huge concern over here. I'm kust thankful for God for protecting us on these convoys. Well duty calls will work hard to post new th… Continue
