We seem to understand each other and can relate to each other. Yes, the news is not good any more. Remeber that for every fallen that you hear about on the news, We get those as well as many other names. Both from abroad and in the states. War and non-combat related deaths. I also receive thte list of wounfded. We are collecting gifts for the children of our wounded and fallen troops children for Christmas. The soldiers' angels have a warhouse that we are putting toys in for the children. It is great to be a part of this. Of being able to give back. We all do it but this way is the best for myself.
I understand your fears about your stepson's going to Afghanistan. It is a nightmare. I keep in touch with my Senitor in Fl. on what they are doiing to help our men and women in battle. He is good about giving reports of what the troops need and what Obama is giving.
I feel that it is as important to keep the families spirits up. They are in it as well. But who to know that better then you?
I am so happy that Patrick will be having his little grandaughter. How wonderful it is to have our grandchildren! I would not know what to do without mine. You try not to get over worked my sweet friend!!
It is so very good to hear from you.. I pray that Patrick will be able to remain home with you.

I have not been around veru much either. So much going on. I am a pert of the living legends on the soldiers' angels and we are so busy with sending out cards and letters to the famlies of our sallen. It never seems to slow down for long. It has really picked up as of late.
I will be talking to you my sweet frind.
