Hi and welcome to MilClub! We are delighted you have joined us to connect and support... there's LOTS for you to do here. But with all the activity, information, connecting and sharing going on, there's one key ingredient that makes it all work: YOU
This guide will help you get started on this network and help you make the most of your free membership with us. Here's what you can do RIGHT NOW:
1. Get a profile picture up. Now, the yellow ribbon default photo that's loaded next to your name is nice, but we'd all rather see YOU or something thats your image choice or style! Load a quick picture everyone will know who they're connecting with.
2. Upload photos of your family and/or friends. What's even cooler than a picture of yourself is pictures of people who like you! Share with us your circle of friends and family and your military Heroes. You never know who you might find on this network!
3. Complete your "My Page" page. This will personalize the whole experience for you. Nothing better than your own personal MilClub homepage.
4. Own a business, website or a music artist? Promote yourself to network friends and other military supporters. Dress up your page to market your business or upload tunes to promote your music! This network was created BY us FOR us. We can help support each other with resources that are in-house!
5. Invite your friends! The success of this online community depends solely on YOU. That means the next time you hear someone you know complaining that they aren't happy with other social networks, bored or in need of friends and support when your man's deployed, or that it's so hard to make friends, that's the perfect opportunity for you to invite them to MilClub. Help spread the word about the great resources we have available and also the people on board.
6. Get busy connecting! Yes that's what we do here. No fun if you never come back. And we WILL make sure you come back. Explore all that this site and MilClub has to offer you. Forums, chat with other members who are online with you and even create your own Group within the network. You can designate it by base, service, unit, moms at your base, spouses who used to be active duty, personal interests, hobbies, whatever you want! The point is get involved, share your stories, etc. and learn from each other.
7. Be sure to browse the site when you've got time, there is so much more here on MilClub all accessible through the top navigation bar with drop down menu's. Enjoy!
